Langstaff and Sloane did the repair within 24 hours to proper ESA standards so that Toronto Hydro could come out and reconnect us. I hired this company to replace an exhaust fan in one of our bathrooms. I hired them through Homestars. When i got the invoice I noticed hundreds of dollars in additional costs that weren't previously brought to my attention . Had I known the job was going to be as expensive as it was I would not have proceeded. This should have been explained to me prior to the job being done and it wasn't. Rob is an absolute gentleman! Some people build their business off of the lack of knowledge of others but not Rob. I had issues tried to call him out but he said before he does try a few things…. That fixed the problem. I offered to send him money but again he said no. It was our pleasure to deal with both Rob and Glenn. They were professional, knowledgeable, polite, took their time to explain and answer all of our questions and had our electricity back up and running to the way it was originally the same day within hours. Cannot believe this company has such good ratings. If there were negative stars I would give them that. Contracted them for work at the end of November 2022. Contacted them a month in advance of closing on a home that needed copper pigtailing, electrical panel to be labelled and an ESA inspection done for insurance purposes. Had several conversations with rob the owner prior to the work, every conversation it was like the first time we were talking…he would completely forget all the details of what was needed. When the team came in, I was told they would take 2-3 days to complete the work. They were done in 1 day. No wonder, it’s because they only did half the pigtailing, which we discovered when we went to install our own light fixtures. Took them 3 weeks and multiple visits to come back and remedy. We had to take time off of work to babysit and follow them around the house to make sure they were actually doing the work. In the meantime, we used lamps to get around our home at night while I was in my final weeks of pregnancy (which didn’t drive any urgency for Rob or Sal, the master electrician on the job who left us his business card to contact him directly for future business). When trying to ask them to reduce the invoice due to the extra days we had to take off in order to get the work completed, the owner replied “We’re losing money on this work as it is” as if it were our fault that his team didn’t complete the work as planned…ridiculous. Immediately, I found that Rob actually understood what I needed to get done. A few texts and pics later, we had a plan. Rob also got an appointment for me the following week. The electrician, Glenn, who came out to do the work was prompt and professional. He called me before he arrived, giving me an ETA, was polite during the whole work time and fixed my issues within 15min. There was a very clear understanding upfront from identifying the problem, coming up with a solution and the price involved. I loved the service and L&S are definitely going to be my first call the next time I need any electrical help! I would recommend Rob and his team without any reservation at all.
